Country of origin: Balai (Indonesia)

Also known as Ngor Her (Hokkien), 午鱼 Wu Yu, Ma Yau Yu (Cantonese), Ikan Kurau (Malay)

It is the 'go-to-fish' for babies, lactating mothers. Aids in the neurological development of children and boosts the supply of breastmilk in lactating mothers.

Good for recuperating patients and the elderly as well. Meat is very soft and easy to chew.

Fillets are *deboned and can be cut into small pieces if specified, suitable for feeding children. You may specify how you want your threadfin prepared; usually parents buying for their babies would ask for it to be cut into small pieces, or into half.

*Please note that even though the deboning process is done with stringent control, it is important to check for the presence of bones before feeding children and elderly.*

The price range is $55-$85/kg (currently $70/kg) (edit on 12 Jan)

You are not expected to pay first, hence the size range is a guideline for us to know the size you'd like, as we may not be able to cut the fillets to an exact 300g.

If you'd like us to cut it further, please leave a remark in your checkout

For a more economical option, you can opt for the whole fish at $40/kg (3-6 kg), tail section at $30/kg, fish bones at $20/kg, fish belly at $30/kg and fish head at $15/kg.
