Another local favourite, sotong is well-known to be used to fry calamari, going well with sambal and salted-egg.
Yup the name is sotong papa, pretty cute name but they're usually big-sized albeit cheaper! Our Hokkien mee stall owners said that these are chewier and bouncier, and their customers love it, so hear it from them!
Do note that they are fresh, not frozen!
